The Coronavirus has done its damage to the sports world, but wrestling is still up and running and giving their fans a show during these hard times. The pandemic did not stop WWE from having their biggest show on their calendar, WrestleMania 36, which was a 2-day Pay-Per-View event, airing on April 4th and 5th. It has made history again with zero fans in attendance. That's right, no fans. So it was time for all of the superstars to do what they do best and perform. However, superstar Roman Reigns, who was supposed to have a big match for the WWE Universal Championship vs. Goldberg thought it was in his best interest not to be a part of WWE WrestleMania 36.

Reigns has leukemia, and though he is in remission, his immune system is down. He spoke more about his decision on social media because after the news broke, he got backlash. “For me, you already know what’s going on. It's all over the news, the dirt sheets whatever you want to call him, that I pulled out of WrestleMania. And it’s funny because like for years now and years people like don't show up to WrestleMania. We don't want you there. There's a nice handful of dudes and haters that didn’t want me there but the moment I make a choice for me and my family, I’m a coward. I'm a sissy I love a lot of different things that I am now but you don’t know the whole story.”

The fans are still appreciating WWE’s decisions and efforts to go on as well. Greg Pierre-Louis, a student at Five Towns College says, “There is something to be said about a wrestling company that is still putting forth a show as opposed to other sports like the NBA, NFL or major-league baseball. Wrestling companies are still trying to do their best to give the fans what they want to see. I think it does say a lot and I would have to tip my hat because it’s not easy for anything sports related to have absolutely no fans. But the fact that there are some who are willing to still put on that effort, it is commendable.”
