Today was the third day of the Great South Bay Music Festival at Shorefront Park and Five Towns College students were in the middle of the action. Fans started to pack into the festival at 1pm and Baked Shrimp opened up the festival on the Clamshell Bandshell stage sponsored by Five Towns College. The heat did not stop the crowd from enjoying the wonderful music.

Five Towns College students and staff have been working all over the festival. The Mass Comm department broadcasted live on WFTU Radio and Audio Department students were prepping the Busker and Jambalaya stages. Davon Young, a senior in the audio department said, “It is a really cool experience. I get to meet a lot of people that have many years of experience in live sound so it’s great to grab some knowledge of the industry from them.”

Young also helped the band Sweetwater get ready to perform. Sweetwater kept the energy pumping!
